"Magneto-grams have recorded three solar reversals since 1976...."
Well, that explains a lot... :wink 7.) crookedeye - 08/11/2013
i actually had experts come in and grade my bunker..out of 10 points with 10 being good and 1 lowest grade.. the team gave me a 7.8 score out of 10. the reason for the score was i had no vegetation are an area where i could grow vegetables..
8.) crookedeye - 08/11/2013
i did ask them .."how am i supose to grow vegetables when theres radioactive debry floating around the air." thats why i didnt agree with the score they gave me..
9.) billy b - 08/11/2013

Those store bought bunkers are WAY to small. I need a few acres at least.

I prefer heaven over living like a groundhog.
19.) Alex - 08/12/2013
LOL...
I suppose you would be disappointed to know that the Solar Magnetic Polarity reverses approximately every 11 years during each solar cycle. Of course this is a bit of news though as this solar cycle has been dramatically below the anticipated Solar max level. Because this appears to be a trend there is some discussion about the likelihood that we may be headed into another Maunder Minimum. 20.) DParker - 08/12/2013
I'm sure that now you're going to tell us that it's just a [I]coincidence[/I] that HAARP was shut down a few months ago.

[QUOTE=crookedeye;9286]thats why i believe i'm the number 1 prepper..[/QUOTE] That would make you the Number One AND the Number Two prepper...But everyone would just call you the Number Two Prepper for short, because Number Two is funnier... 22.) Alex - 08/12/2013

Yeah except the shutdown was disinfo. HAARP is going strong with a new lease and a 2014 budget already approved. 23.) bluecat - 08/12/2013

Beelzebub, this is Luv2. Luv2 meet the Prince of Darkness. I'll leave you two alone for awhile. You have some catching up to do. Oh I see you've already met. 24.) Swamp Fox - 08/12/2013
[QUOTE=Alex;9295]Yeah except the shutdown was disinfo.
HAARP is going strong with a new lease and a 2014 budget already approved.[/QUOTE] Eccs-ellent! Just in case this magneto-gram thingie has something to do with some of my problems, somebody try to paste this address into the bar that pops up when you use the "insert image" icon on the toolbar, and tell me what happens. [url]http://www.globalpost.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/gp3_slideshow_large/montgomery_burns_jpeg.jpg[/url] What happens for me is the "okay" tab vanishes immediately so I can't actually post the image. I wonder if there is something about the address(es) and where I'm getting images that is causing the problem.... Really, really would like to click an icon on a toolbar to post an image, rather than type code (or do the photobucket dance, or thumbnails from my computer, etc.) :re:... I hope I don't have to re-open my old thread again...but this is the same problem DParker and I were discussing somewhere in the Post 80-85 neighborhood. Okay, sorry for the hijack. I just saw an opportunity to bring this up again, LOL :bang: 25.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
26.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
I went to the link. Copied the URL. Clicked on the icon. Pasted the image and unchecked the "Retrieve Remote File and reference locally". 27.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
You can do the same thing without clicking the image icon but you'll need to add the tags yourself.
28.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
[ATTACH=CONFIG]200[/ATTACH]
This is what happens when you don't uncheck the "Retrieve Remote File and reference locally". 29.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
By the way Swampy, Carlos Danger has come out with a pamphlet on how to improve life in New York City. He needs to straighten up.

Here's another address I tried to paste: [url]http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.4698703926724510&pid=15.1[/url][/QUOTE] Pasting that URL like that doesn't work because it doesn't evaluate directly to the name of a graphics file (like one ending in ".jpg", ".gif", ".png", etc.) It's a reference to a resource that gets dynamically processed by your browser and....well....let's just say that it's magic. Some images are hosted that way and there's no way to directly link to them using the IMG tags. The only way to do it is to copy the image to your computer (via the usual {right-click}"Save as..." method), upload it to your favorite photo-sharing site (like Photobucket, or whatever) and then reference it from there. 33.) Swamp Fox - 08/12/2013
That's what I figured on some of them...But it seems to happen to "addresses" that end in "jpeg" etc. and also those that don't...Can you explain why that is?
For instance, if I go looking for "image of Mr. Burns" on Yahoo and find one, right click on it to get properties and copy whatever is in the address area, [B]I will have the same problem [/B]no matter whether the address ends in a file type like jpeg or not. I think I have the problem whether I take the first address for that picture or a second one which might appear if I [B]left[/B] click on the picture to go an extra step (blow it up, etc.) and then go get THOSE properties... Hope I'm explaining that right... 34.) Swamp Fox - 08/12/2013
This Magnetic Field crap is stressing me out...
35.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
I'm thinking then Swampy it might be a browser security issue. What level of security in IE do you have? Tools|Internet Options|Security.
Also, try to do it FireFox or Google Chrome. 36.) DParker - 08/12/2013

Hope I'm explaining that right...[/QUOTE] I don't know. All of the descriptions so far (including bluecat's, even though he got it to work) have omitted the "click on the 'From URL' tab" step that follows the "click on the "insert image" icon" step, which I thought might be the problem because the dialog box that pops up when you click the "insert image" icon defaults to using the "From Computer" tab to allow you to upload from your PC instead of referencing a web URL. But that tab doesn't even have an "OK" button to begin with, so that doesn't really fit your description of the problem. Clicking the "From URL" tab and then posting the URL (ending in ".jpg", ".gif", etc) works just fine, even if I forget to uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" check-box. I'm pretty sure Alex just hates you. 37.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
Also there is an advanced Tab in the Tools|Internet Options
Enable Visual Styles on buttons and controls in webpages. Mine is checked. Just kinda guessing at what it could be. 38.) luv2bowhunt - 08/12/2013
Here we go again. LOL.......
....Chris are you still plugging the circuits in manually with the wires to the tubes? 39.) bluecat - 08/12/2013
Yeah, sorry I didn't mention that. I do click on the 'From URL' tab.
