My family and I were discussing this at dinner last night. I thought the idea of herding them into a closet for a few minutes before the police arrived was actually quite clever.

And where is the owner of the destroyed house? Why isn't he/she speaking up in defense? I wouldn't mind having the alleged child abuser as my neighbor. Least I know he is looking out for me.

Even if this is a true, where's the problem? Oh wait ... I know. [/I] Let's not focus on the Burglary 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree felony charges. Let's divert attention away from the minors (they're just kids after all) and focus on the meany adult. Pleeeeaaase.

Speaking strictly for myself, I'd say the problem is that Daniels failed to apply pressure at a level sufficient for scaring the little turd into thinking that his number was up.

So it's starting to sound like, under the circumstances, the arrest of Daniels was fairly routine and probably not an indication of an impending injustice (well, beyond the arrest itself, anyway)...and in fact it might turn out the right way:
