...of the fact that in the strict gun-control state of MA, and the even STRICTER gun-control city of Boston...once ground zero for the armed-citizen revolution that birthed our nation...you have cops in armored vehicles rolling the streets and the whole body of the citizenry locked in their homes and cowering in fear because of ONE 19 year-old scum bag being on the loose?
In TX (Austin excepted), as well as much of the south and west, most of us would be sitting around with our front doors open with a sign in the front yard reading, "Come on in Chechen bombers. We've got a little something for you." 2.) DParker - 04/19/2013
Flip through the photos of the cops on this page...remembering that these are in fact law enforcement, and not military. That's an awful lot of hardware for city and state police...especially taking down a lone 19 year-old.

They have to do something with all the newly-minted Obama Bucks...You should see the gargantuan new Law Enforcement Center and the sheriff's spiffy new muscle cars ---yes plural, cars---that have suddenly appeared in my sleepy little county.
Kinda puts the lie to the claim by people like Biden, Feinstein and Connecticut's Blumenthal that the police are "outgunned." Yes all three have used that word... What I don't understand is what police are doing with those weapons of war that belong on the battlefield and not our streets, seeing as how their pistol grips are designed for spray firing from the hip and are only good for killing a lot of people really quickly. I'm sure there are some talking points I missed there, but my fingers got tired. 5.) Swamp Fox - 04/19/2013
LOL...
Of course the idea that the police are supposedly outgunned by "criminals, domestic abusers and mentally-ill people" :re: has absolutely zero to do with the idea that law-abiding citizens should be forced to walk the plank onto that same supposed boat... 6.) Hunter - 04/19/2013
As I was watching this, I was wondering how the people trapped in their homes felt about having a firearm at this moment.

I find it scary that the police look more like the military, and knowing the training some of these cops have with their attitudes and mentality, makes me want more high power sporting rifles in my home.
I also find it ironic that you have all these anti gunner's talking about having the police protect us and we don't need "assault rifles", yet army of police are still unable to end this, and they want me to trust them with mine and my familys life, FAT CHANCE!!!! 8.) Pa bowhunter - 04/19/2013

Here's an example of how the house-to-house searches by a militarized police force in Watertown, MA (for a lone 19 year-old, mind you) were "voluntary", and not a violation of anyone's 4th Amendment rights.
I should have paid closer attention to my vocabulary assignments in grade school. My understanding of what "voluntary" means seems to be completely wrong. 11.) Swamp Fox - 04/23/2013
I had the same thought when it was happening.
Hell, no, you're not coming in the house... 12.) DParker - 04/23/2013
Similarly, watching this video my first thought was regarding how a response of, "Come back when you have a warrant" at the door would have played out. Something tells me it would not have paid dividends for the residents, and the state of MA would have ended up with one less German Shephard dog.

Did they march them into the town square and question them locked safely in the pillories?

Unfortunately, the pillories all had to be auctioned off last month. Sequestration, don'tcha know. 15.) Swamp Fox - 04/23/2013
