1.) Swamp Fox - 03/31/2022
No, seriously ....
If I still had a 20-inch 12 ga. 870 pump after the last canoe accident, I'd seriously consider trading it for this .410 ... https://www.remarms.com/shotguns/pump-action/model-870/model-870-410-turkey-tss Aw, who we kiddin'? I'm not trading any damn thing ... You need a 3-inch semi-auto for everyday, a 3.5 pump for when you have to hump a ways and be serious when you get there, a 20 ga. with new loads just to show you're paying attention, and now a .410 with tungsten shot so you can walk all day up and down those vertical public lands everyone prizes so highly. Yee-haw! We're gonna need a bigger gun cabinet ... 2.) bluecat - 03/31/2022
Son, you need to learn how to shoot that BB gun I bought you first, then we can talk about getting something else. Now go finish your chores.
3.) Swamp Fox - 04/01/2022
LOL ...
I promise I won't put my eye out ... I'd love to get my hands on one of these to see if I could put a red dot on that rail without needing to find a Monte Carlo stock. Didn't need one with a low-power scope mounted low on an 11-87, but a MC can be a bit more natural and comfortable in some configurations, and I think most red dots sit up a little higher than that little Loopy did. Correct me if I'm wrong. :fire: Nothing against ghost rings (I've used them and they make for a lighter, handier and more totable shotgun or muzzleloader) but I'd like to leave my options open for the next step up. But really, if you can shoot that ring just fine, who wants to bulk up that carry point? 4.) Swamp Fox - 04/01/2022
I might like to see a good bit more weight-forward ... For recoil, carry and pointability ... But I'd have to get one in my hands to no for sure...
Anyone want to sponsor me? 5.) Swamp Fox - 04/01/2022
So, I'm no meteorologist, but I'd like to see what the velocity loss would be if you cut that barrel down to, say, 22 inches. We could go shorter, but let's start there.
Add weight forward by bulking up the rib and/or deleting the recoil pad, and slap a Burris FastFire or something similarly squat on there to swerve around the low comb issue. Now we're talkin' ... 6.) bluecat - 04/01/2022
You gun guys with your ribs and combs and the thing that goes back.
7.) Swamp Fox - 04/01/2022
LOL ... + 12 ga. /.50 cal. ...
:applause: 8.) Swamp Fox - 04/01/2022
That's a really high score, BTW, for you bow guys ... :wink
9.) bluecat - 04/01/2022
12, 13 gauge, whatever I deserve.
10.) bluecat - 04/01/2022
So your gun needs a comb-over?
11.) Swamp Fox - 04/02/2022
Not me, but I have a friend ...
He's not just the president; he's a client. 12.) Swamp Fox - 04/02/2022
12, 13 gauge, whatever I deserve.
You definitely deserve at least a 13 gauge for that ... LOL ... Plus a feather. 13.) bluecat - 04/02/2022
