Because the service has gone from pull-down-your-zipper to full-on SUCK ...

What service category are you referring to? Cellular coverage? Customer service? Something else? All of the above?
We've been with AT&T wireless for over 25 years and haven't had any problems with them. 3.) bluecat - 08/10/2021

You said zipper. 4.) Swamp Fox - 08/11/2021

I have spent HOURS on the phone with Verizon in the last few days trying to troubleshoot a data transfer. I don't know what the Cloud is, and apparently Verizon doesn't either ... 5.) Much of that time was on hold, but even when I got a rep or a technician on the line, I might as well have been transcribing my own info myself with quill and parchment ...

Oddly enough, I've never had to deal with AT&T support at all, so I've been blissfully ignorant of their shortcomings on that front. 7.) bluecat - 08/12/2021
Try calling Direct TV sometime when you don't have anything to do that week. Good luck.

Yeah, that one I can verify AT&T thoroughly screwed up. Prior to the acquisition DirectTV was actually one of those really good companies to work with, including their tech support (on the few times I needed it). But when AT&T took over that went right into the crapper...which was OK by me because it gave me the excuse I was looking for to dump that expense. That said, DirectTV was recently spun off as its own company, so maybe things will improve. Maybe. 9.) Swamp Fox - 08/13/2021
DIRECTV was excellent for me until AT&T got involved, and then became the devil's own direct opposite of excellent ... I have documented the horror story in these pages in the past. I own a tablet today that I didn't really need to spend the money on because those phuckers said I could watch down-loaded NFL Sunday Ticket on it at Camp Swampy where connectivity is a foreign word. I like the tablet, but I'd also like $400 back from the idiots who told me they could provide a service if I bought a tablet and who failed miserably.
That was after the introductory shit-show years ago when they ruined their previously fine toll-free phone service for me, costing me a ton of money and aggravation. So, yeah ... I wouldn't have anything to do with AT&T anymore with my worst enemy's ten-foot pole ... 10.) bluecat - 08/13/2021
The last time I called Direct TV it was in the evening and I heard a rooster crowing in the background. When I asked about it, the guy said he was in [can't remember the country] where it was sunrise.

I talked to his sister once trying to get something straightened out ... But she worked for DIRECTV/AT&T ...My best guess is that her name was Natasha Fatale ...
I'm not kidding ... I was deep behind the ol' Iron Curtain ... It was hopeless ... I think they let me speak English just so they could sit back in silence smoking unfiltered Turkish cigarettes smirking at each other, waiting for me to catch on that they neither spoke English nor knew anything about how to fix my problem ... After about an hour and a half of short sentences and long silences, I did ... The reps there operated in a Cone of Incompetence ... |
