1.) DParker - 04/13/2013
A new character, an old noble woman, was added to Game of Thrones (yes, I'm an addict) during last Sunday's season premier. I kept thinking there was something familiar about her but couldn't put my finger on it, until her name appeared in the closing credits. Diana Rigg, who was one of my early boyhood crushes, for obvious reasons, when she starred as super-hot super-spy Emma Peel in the old UK series The Avengers:
Today (or rather, last Sunday): Man...time really sucks. :tap: 2.) Go Bucks - 04/13/2013
uhhhhh... "something similar?" WHERE?!

"something familiar". When quoting, cut-n-paste is your friend. :wink But yeah, that's what really struck me. It's funny how the human brain works when it comes to facial recognition. We're able to match faces based on fundamental patterns (bone structure, eye placement, shape of the nose, etc) even after so much else has changed. It's the same principle that underlies the ability to see familial relationships in the faces of parents and their children. Interesting, really. 4.) Go Bucks - 04/14/2013
Hmmmmm... did you have her poster on the wall or the ceiling when you were a kid?
5.) DParker - 04/14/2013
Nah. That's what the Sears catalog was for.

My son`s current crush is Scarlett Johanson from the Avengers. At least they keep hotties in that movie over the years.
game of what???
Think The Lord of the Rings meets The Sopranos...sort of. A semi-nerdy epic tale with a complex story line, numerous sub-plots and well-developed, engrossing characters. If that doesn't do it for you then there's also, boobs, killin', armies of the walking dead and just generally loads of medieval badassery.Dothraki and dragons and dwarves, oh my.

Do any dwarves get launched out of catapaults? Just seeing if this is something I might be interested in. 16.) DParker - 04/15/2013

They'd better not...'cuz as it turns out he's far and away the most popular character in the series, and I think there would be a popular revolt if they did away with him. Kinda' like Daryl on The Walking Dead. |
