1.) Swamp Fox - 05/19/2020
I doubt turkey hunters acted out-of-pattern on private land in my neck of the woods this year.
On public land I think gobblers were less pressured this year compared to normal, but not by much. The weather's been decent; let's hope it holds up. If we have a good hatch and good poult survival this year, we could be golden for two years or more, but I don't think the Kung Fu Flu was a game-changer at Camp Swampy. Turkey hunting will be as good or bad in the coming years as it has ever been. No more, no less. What are your thoughts for your areas? 2.) Swamp Fox - 05/19/2020
As soon as I say the weather's been decent, a tropical storm half a month early dumps cold rain on us for what looks like's gonna be four days ...
Well, okay ... Day 4 won't be so cold, but by then the damage will be done ... 3.) bluecat - 05/19/2020
Have seen zero Toms. How's that? Pretty awesome right? Grumble grumble.

Do you have a surplus of hens?
Was your winter rather mild? |
