i never new roy billy. i forget who he was but i remember the pig hunt days where roy was always mention and he was kinda a guy that i liked because of you..it was like if he new billy he was a friend of mine..i had friend that died 3 or 4 years ago craziest thing in the world. i miss my buddy to this day..

plus we all shot arrows into this tree were we hunt..so every year its a good reminder of my buddy, to look up into that tree where we all shot an arrow into and remembering when he shot his arrow into the tree.. i remembering him smiling when he hit the tree..

A lot of times if you miss flydown, you can just wait a couple of hours and miss when they want to come to your calls, too.

So it doesn't really matter when you get out there....

Roy was the man that owned the ranch where we held the Texas pig hunts, he charged us nothing and went out of his way to see that we had a great hunt, he was in his 50's and caught a viral infection and couldn't beat it, it fought for about three weeks before he died. He was a strong healthy man before he caught the infection, it took him down fast. I've never met a nicer more generous person in m life. It's such a shame. I don't remember how to put up pics on here, maybe Dave, Jon, or someone who hunted there could put some up.

I think you're right, Billy. You could never meet a nicer guy than Roy. Just the fact that he put up with us goobers was one sign, but one of several things that made a big impression on me was that somehow he knew I would be interested in a QDMA conference he was going to and got me all the info. He loved that stuff. I always regretted that I didn't make a bigger effort to go, but even more so now.

Roy was a quiet guy and I think he liked to watch us clowns perform more than to be front and center where he'd be in a lot of pics, even by accident.

He is on the end at the left on the top row of Luv2's pic.

He had a good sense of humor, and I think he got a real kick out of the White Elephant drawing ... LOL
