Decided to go with a bigger garden this year and start early. last year we started in mid May, had a gazillion tomatoes in October!
Tilled a new plot, it's about 20x40? We won't be able to plant anything for a week or so since frost/freeze is still a concern.
We've been getting plants from the local high school's ag class but they just aren't consistent enough. Last year we bought a few plants from Lowe's and they were incredible producers.
We'll try tomatoes of all varieties, yellow squash, cucumbers, peppers of all varieties, beans, watermelon, carrots and maybe corn.
Anyone else doing a garden?

I haven't planted anything in a few years because I just haven't had the spare time required to tend it. I'd like to this year, but the fact that we'll be out of the country for a couple of weeks at the height of the growing season makes that unlikely to work out. Without an automated irrigation setup everything would be dead by the time we got back. Maybe I could get a few tomatoes before then though.

Looks great Jon. Keep posting throughout the season.

All of my plantings are under sheets right now. Snow and sleet expected later today.

I've done a few tomato plants here and there in random years, LOL. I'm interested in a garden, just not that interested in doing all the work myself.

That reminds me: I need to change my ad on Craigslist. A girl with her own boat and motor is a nice start, but isn't always qualified enough for everything I have to get done around here.

You always want to start out with a woman with large tracts of land. You know, so you can do stuff with the land.
6.) Swamp Fox - 04/06/2018
LOL ...

I know I only need one if by land, but two if by sea ... So I keep the ad going continuously to cover my bases.

The wench on the left looks like she's a few flagons of grog into the voyage.

Flagon, flagoff ...

10.) bluecat - 04/06/2018
I wouldn't mind it if they swabbed my deck.

A guy from down at the 7-11 would be less expensive in the long run.

Just sayin ...

LOL

Although now that I think about it, I could convert Swampy's Mobile Spray-On Tan Van to a Bikini Power-Washing vehicle fairly easily ... So maybe I could offer you some good-buddy discounts, at least in the off-season...

[better part of discretion icon] I could make a comment [\better part of discretion icon]

I know what you're going to say.

But there is a surprising lack of bikini power-washing pictures on the interweb ...

Which is why I'm super-excited to be getting in on the ground floor...

You thought the G-Puddles Prevention Kits and the Spray-on Tan Van and the Secession Flag business were genius...

I don't think you've seen nuthin yet!

New garden was a flop (for us humans), the deer got to it pretty early and all i got from it was some beans and a few squash. Everything else was eaten by the deer. I knew they could step over the fence but didn't think they would. Guess the joke's on me!
