Digital, laser, virtual pins (single or multiple).

$800-1000

I think a lot of people will be trying to get on Garmin's "Hunting Pro Staff" all of a sudden ...

I think this is awesome BUT same problem that most of Dorge's crap, too damn expensive for the average Joe

You'd have to sell three or four used bows before you could slap that on a new one --- If you could affford a new one after buying the sight, LOL.

I noticed it's angle compensated for up to 100 or 300 yards, depending on what you're ranging. I didn't try to figure out if that's an option you can leave off, but I don't know why archery mfg think that's such a big deal. For mountain hunting, okay, but most guys are hunting cornfields, LOL.

Maybe it's not a big cost item to angle-compensate, but jeez: every little bit hurts.

That was the first thing that popped into my head.

Well, if you aren't counting "Alexa order more cheetos".

The even funnier thing? I can actually do that. It'd be really stupid...but I could do it.

Wouldn't even have to get out of your beanbag chair ...

:-)

Leupold was the first and only bow-attached rangefinder that I can think of. I have no idea how well they sell.

If Garmin can put a laser-digital-virtual pins sight together, why can't we get the same without the rangefinder from somebody? That would be much less expensive, I'd think, and I believe tons of people would hand over their money for well-lit virtual pins.

If you are shooting at a deer at 40 yards with this thing and there's a small branch at 20 yards that lines up near the chest of the deer, I don't think this sight will work. With a regular sight (or Swampy's virtual pin sight) you could make the shot and the arrow would arc over the branch. That, and it's too damned expensive :-)

I would think you're right.

Solving minor inconveniences with a major price tag. Sounds like a winner to me.

I mean what a hassle it is to take the few seconds to push a button on my Nikon angle compensating range finder with a retractable tether and then there's all that sweeping big motion not to mention there's no time when you're on stand for hours to range all possible shots in ADVANCE of the shot. I like the bulky design and the limb catching feature of that honker extending out from my bow. Cap this off with sophisticated electronics. What could go wrong? Let's see buy a whole new bow or buy the Garmin? I'll have to think on this for another nanosecond.

But Bob, wait there's more.......you could get the automatic version that comes with the auto cocking gadget and also available with insta-lock which senses a heat signature and locks on ensuring that you harvest every last rabbit in the vicinity....
