1.) Swamp Fox - 01/05/2018
There were one or two making the rounds a few years ago. One heads-up in particular got a lot of buzz (I think it was from a fairly big name) but I don't think it went anywhere.
What's the deal these days? 2.) bluecat - 01/05/2018
I'm not familiar with those sights.

I haven't seen one in a few years. I handled the one I mentioned above briefly. It needed some work. I think it was some issue with the display that I didn't quite love, and/or the mount.
I also tried to jerry-rig a red-dot arrangement myself 10 or 12 years ago, but moved on to other things. I still have the slider mount I want to use, but would need to see what's available in scopes these days. 4.) DParker - 01/05/2018

LOL ... I forgot about that thing.
What's the deal these days?
This has been on my bow for the last 8 years. 1600 of these were sold into the archery market in 2016 and mounted on a bracket made by HHA

Do you know if they're still making it? I went to the site and didn't see it.
Have you tried any tube-style red dots on a bow since selecting the Barska? I'm trying to think of what the issue was with the heads-up I tried that was specifically built for bowhunting. Too complicated? Display washed out? Not waterproof? Bulky? All those are possibilities. In any event, I've never seen it again since the initial marketing buzz and a couple of shows. |
