Took the bike up to Vermont last weekend, wife wanted to see some covered bridges so away we went. Gorgeous state this time of year, weather was nice, no bugs and best thing was zero humidity!
Here's some neat pictures...

Burke Mountain

Maisey the Moose's headstone

Taftsville Bridge in Woodstock

Martin Bridge in Marshfield

Cool. Does wifey ride on the back or does she have her own bike?
3.) Swamp Fox - 07/31/2017
Pretty cool. I wonder if there are any out there with wooden support and platform anymore, or if they've all been upgraded to stone, etc.?

Bluecat, the wife has no intentions of riding her own bike, she's completely content being a passenger.
Swampy, These bridges are mostly constructed of wood in their entirety. Here's a blip about the Taftsville Bridge from Wikipedia:
Unlike many extant covered bridges which are based upon patented bridge designs, the Taftsville Bridge reflects an earlier "craftsman" bridge-building tradition that was possibly influenced by designs found in Switzerland. While the incorporation of laminated arches in the bridge structure is generally indicative of the well-known Burr arch-truss, which was patented in the United States in 1817, the resemblance is purely superficial. Instead, the unusual design of the Taftsville Bridge is better described as a "modified multiple kingpost truss with semi-independent arches".[1]

Taftsville Bridge reaches a total of 189 feet (58 m) over the Ottauquechee River with two spans of 89 feet (27 m) and 100 feet (30 m) from either river bank to a central pier in the river gorge. The bridge measures 20 feet (6.1 m) in width, providing an interior roadway that is 16 feet (4.9 m).[6]

I made a video, drove over a few of the bridges and they are all wood......

6.) Swamp Fox - 07/31/2017
Interesting. Also, the camera handles the change from light to shade and vice versa very well, I think.

"Maisey the Moose" "Forever Loved"?

It must get really lonely in the VT woods.

I mounted the camera on the side of the front fairing, under the side mirror. I am really impressed with the stabilization, you can tell when it is working because the left side of the screen where the bike's fairing is showing will wave. You can imagine how much vibration is going on but the video is very stable. I really like this camera.

Very cool!

Thanks for sharing your trip Jon. Beautiful area...I also enjoyed the video, it gives a neat perspective especially touring like that.
