These have been around for a short while, I think. I saw one in a store a few years ago but did not have a chance to sit in it. The idea is that you can break the stand into three parts for hanging and in and out of the woods: stem, platform and seat. The stem ratchets to the tree.
https://www.advancedtreestands.com/models/ I haven't looked for the weights of the individual parts but the stands are between 16.5 and 18.5 pounds full assembled, with the only difference that I can tell being an integrated ratchet system on the heavier model. Seat height is 20 inches and the platform is 22 x 32. I'd like it to be lighter, bigger and taller, but you can't always get what you want... Has anyone used it, or even just sat in it and tested for comfort, squeaks, etc? I might have more questions later...:wink P.S. You can buy extra stems for mounting in multiple locations, but they ain't cheap. In the $90 range. 2.) Jon - 06/30/2017
