One word D, Grillgrates, the best thing I have ever added to my grille, never another flare up again no matter how hot you grille.

It's the first time I've ever been able to talk my wife into trying rabbit. She wasn't disgusted, so that's a victory.

Yep. A couple of the Asian supermarkets I frequent stock farm-raised rabbit. It's a little pricey, but I didn't get to do any rabbit hunting this season, so store-bought it is.

All Broil King grills come with them...or at least the functional equivalent thereof (angled stainless steel baffles they call "Flav-R-Wave" plates). I think most Weber gas grills have similar hardware. I didn't get a chance to test them with the rabbit (not nearly enough drippings), but I've read that they do a good job.

The ratio of rabbit to rabbit food seems out of whack, but otherwise, good job. :-)

If you ask around in the right circles, I bet you can find some rabbit meat from people who raise it for sale. I found either emu or ostrich one time, I think. (I don't remember which because I didn't pursue it.) If you can find that, you can find rabbit, LOL...or goat, etc.

If you have any Germans working for your company, for instance, they're usually crazy for rabbits. Zey vill no vare zey kan be found!! Ja?


I have some other ideas if that doesn't work out.

I was overcompensating. I was only going to have about half that much salad, but then it dawned on me that I'd gone about 3 days without eating any vegetation more significant than the wilted piece of lettuce on yesterday's cheeseburger. Plus it gave the dish an ironic edge.

Between the Hispanic and Asian supermarkets this area is chock-full of, finding exotic (to Americans) meats is anything but a problem.
