i have some 5575's and some maxima hunter arrows. there both cut the same length have the same fletching on them and i think the 5575's are like .oo1 decimaleter heavier.. shouldnt they shoot pretty much the same out to 40 yards with a hooter shooter?? for me they seem to shoot the same, but just wanted to no..

weight is just one of the factors. Diameter, straightness, type of fletching, FOC all play into flight. Will they fly and hit similar POI at closer ranges? YES. Will they fly and hit similar POI at 50yds? Maybe

for me they seem to shoot pretty well out to forty ..gonna have to try out to 60 and see what the difference is..
by the way happy b-day oldman.. 4.) Jon - 03/28/2013
Thanks CE! I shot a bunch of arrows that were different lengths, weights and fletch configuration a few years ago and documented the results at different yardages. I remember putting pictures on bowcountry, allot of help that does now! Anyway, at 20yds, all the arrows grouped together and as I got further back, the group opened up pretty quickly.
