Not only is the question fairness, but at some point the bigger problem is that people just don't care any more "what it costs" because they're not paying for it.

Until it bites them on the ass, that is, which I don't think is that far down the road.

Witness health care, Obamacare, "investment" in schools and infrastructure, entitlements, government bureaucracy and regulation...Don't make me go on and on. :wink
