...and looking around at the cross-section of America that could hold your fate in its in-bred hands to remind you of one of the biggest reasons that you never want to hear yourself referred to as "the defendant".

Do tell!

Unlawful discharge of a shotgun in the city limits as per Biden's recommendation while screaming "You kids get off my lawn"?

Remember, it's a jury of your peers. :wink

There's nothing to tell yet. Right now I'm just sitting in the general pool of potential jurors waiting to see if they draw my civic duty lottery number.
Remember, it's a jury of your peers. :wink
I have no peers! I'm always especially impressed by the dopes who just can't grock "Your cell phones must be set to silent/vibrate" or "You must step out into the hallway if you wish to take/place a phone call." 6.) bluecat - 07/20/2016
fyi, there is no peeing in the jury pool.
7.) bluecat - 07/20/2016
Mumbling "hang 'em high" is a sure way to get out of it.

I doubt anyone would notice...especially the 7 or 8 who were just called to the front because they didn't bother to read the address on their summons and showed up at the wrong court building (this is the Dallas Co criminal courts building, and they were summoned to the civil courts building...in a different part of Dallas.) These are individuals you just know you could count on to pay attention to subtle details of testimony, evidence and nuances of the law. 9.) Swamp Fox - 07/20/2016

One more thing for Hillary to add to her list as she fights for criminal justice reform... I'll say it's criminal... 10.) Jon - 07/20/2016
I haven't been in a while BUT I did have the same feeling when I did my civic duty. It's unbelievable to me that someone would show up in sweatpants and a dirty wife beater for jury duty. WTF??

I thought about wearing Bermuda shorts with black socks and white patent leather shoes, and yelling at a cloud on my way into the courthouse...but I figured that would give me an unfair advantage in the selection process. 12.) Swamp Fox - 07/20/2016
So what you're saying is you've been on a cruise with my dad...LOL

Was he the one wearing a Viking helmet and a "Kiss my ass, I'm retired!" t-shirt while leading a conga line through the buffet? That guy knew how to party. 14.) Swamp Fox - 07/20/2016
LOL...Hey, Mom couldn't watch him all the time...:wink
But seriously, he had one Bermuda vacation-inspired outfit that was legendary. I'm not even gonna describe it 'cause y'all won't believe me. Think of this, but with brighter colors, LOL Mom's lady friends all loved it, and they were a tough crowd in the fashion-criticism and sense-of-humor areas...So there's no doubt he achieved the effect he was going for. http://www.cntraveler.com/stories/2015-01-26/dress-code-how-to-wear-bermuda-shorts 15.) As long as they keep talking about you, that's all that matters.
Well, my number wasn't drawn so I won't be sending anyone to death row this week. I never get to have any fun. {Shuffles feet and kicks a rock} 16.) bluecat - 07/20/2016

Were you overheard saying that no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute? 'Cause that could've done it. 19.) Swamp Fox - 07/20/2016
