After the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria emerged as a threat, U.S. lawmakers, the press and the public at large discussed whether to refer to the group as ISIS or ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant). On Wednesday, Secretary of State John Kerry used both terms, as well as one more for the extremist group: Daesh. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/why-is-john-kerry-referring-to-isis-as-daesh/ Do these people really think we can't see through all their bull? 2.) bluecat - 06/29/2016

Kerry's been on the "Daesh" kick for a while. I believe he thinks he's being clever.
On the other hand, I think the only reason Obama and Hillary aren't on board and hardly ever use it is that they think Americans are too stupid to know 1) what it is and 2) "why" the word games. I'm looking for 0's call for bomb control any day now, in light of the Istanbul airport attack. 6.) DParker - 06/30/2016

Did y'all see where Hillary's State Department won two awards for recordkeeping?
Seems like I heard that quite a while ago, but for some reason they were talking about it on the boob tube a few days ago. Not sure it was because somebody wanted the awards rescinded, but I could be wrong...LOL 8.) bluecat - 06/30/2016

The sad part is there are people out there believing this nonsense. 11.) Swamp Fox - 06/30/2016

Crookedeye has been very quiet around here since Trump locked up his delegates.
I hope he's not spending all his time writing love letters to Mrs. Trump, but at the very least I hope he doesn't get caught. On the other hand, if they hit it off, maybe she can put him in charge of something around the White House... He might have to pull a Jeff Gillooly on Hillary first, though. 27.) bluecat - 06/30/2016

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/01/us/politics/meeting-between-bill-clinton-and-loretta-lynch-provokes-political-furor.html?_r=0
WASHINGTON — An airport encounter this week between Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch and former President Bill Clinton has welled into a political storm, with Republicans asserting that it compromised the Justice Department’s politically sensitive investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email practices while she was secretary of state. The Obama administration declined to say on Thursday whether the meeting between Ms. Lynch and Mr. Clinton, in Phoenix on Monday night, was appropriate. The press secretary, Josh Earnest, said that the investigation of Mrs. Clinton would be free of political influence and that he would leave it to the attorney general to explain the meeting. The most transparent administration in history... 48.) Swamp Fox - 07/01/2016
She's had a rough couple of weeks. This on top of the imbecilic redacting of the Orlando transcript. Of course, there's some old fine messes she's gotten herself into, Ollie, so I can't say I'm shocked.
Hardly a whisper of concern about her when she was nominated for the job, except for a few people who thought she was inexcusably willing to go along with Obama's executive orders. But no, she's highly qualified. :re: I'm sorry, but if someone in her position has meetings like this, they're not going to last long as a county prosecutor, much less attorney general of the United States. Sometimes qualification does not equal suitability (much less competence), and we have abundant examples, especially over the last 7.5 years. With her apparent lack of judgment, to say nothing of the whiff of corruption, she appears to be one more. The good news (since she won't step down or recuse herself or make room for a special prosecutor) is that she now says she'll greenlight any recommendation to prosecute Hillary. Before this, she didn't have such a high need to appear to be an honest broker, apparently, because it was in question whether she would greenlight or quash. I bet Hillary threw another vase at Bill when she heard he was chatting up law enforcement he "accidentally ran into at the airport"... 49.) bluecat - 07/01/2016

Somebody should calculate the odds that Slick Willie had nothing better to do than to wait half an hour for her plane to come in, then spend half an hour talking grandbabies and golf games, at a meeting that the FBI apparently banned recording devices from. I haven't heard many people mention it, but don't forget that Bill Clinton is under the microscope at the FBI as well, for the connection between fundraising and influence dealing at the Clinton Foundation and his bride's State Department. So, little Billy Jefferson could have just as easly been trying to save his own skin as his wife's. Hillary: What did you talk about!? Bill: Don't worry, your case didn't come up at all... I'd like to have been able to read the thought bubbles of each of them during THAT conversation. :wink http://hotair.com/archives/2016/07/01/reporter-fbi-ordered-no-photos-no-pictures-no-cell-phones-during-clintonlynch-meeting/ 56.)
