Hello
Guys, will you give any tips for repainting my hunter stove.
I'm not an expert in it, that is why I ask. This is old stove of my father, so I want to restore it to look better.
What to begin with?
Thanks in advance..

Got any pictures? What is it made of...steel, tin? What exactly are you wanting to repair?

More info please...

I seem to remember instructions on building a hunter's stove in one of the Big Three outdoor magazines. I can't say it was anything like a recent issue. It included something about painting and/or burning/seasoning the stove's finish. I do know there is a paint out there which is specifically made for high heat applications. You can get it at Home Depot, etc.

Perhaps a search for "hunter's stove" or "barrel stove" will turn something up.

Also, look up stuff on refurbishing or building a pig cooker. I think TxHunter's thread about his paint and seasoning efforts is gone the way of BowCountry, so I don't think there's anything on this site, but any site dedicated to cooking BBQ or about outdoor cooking is likely to have something about building your own cooker.

It is steel. There are scratches and the old paint started to crack.

Thanks for your full response.
I took this https://www.mrosupply.com/paint-painting-supplies/spray-paint/1385990_k01623_krylon/ I hope that 2 coats will be ideal. Now, I think about ways to remove the previous paint coats.
