about a dozen years back one of my close friends fell ill, ended up dragging an oxygen bottle around and little by little he lost the energy to hunt even with all the help deerminator and i tried to give. well just over a year ago he was fortunate enough to receive a double lung transplant and is now back on his feet and ready to go afield and bowhunt the elusive whitetail, we spent this afternoon getting his sights zeroed in and a little scouting and i must say it was nice to have to try and keep up with him instead of the other way around. his youthful exuberance made me feel like a youngster again :tu:

Ken and I are fishing buds again. It's amazing what medical science has accomplished.
We shoot at Toxo's every Tuesday.

That's wonderful news, just don't let him over do his capabilities, it took me a while to learn to pace myself after I got back on my feet, congrats to him & you for keeping his hopes alive.

we are planning to visit some of our old secret hunt spots this year, places we haven't been this century! i've pulled up some satellite images and it all still looks quite remote, looking forward to setting foot on sacred ground once again :cool:
