Swampy, apparently you can delete a post but not a thread that you start.

That might be the case today, but I'm pretty sure I've deleted original (THREAD-STARTING) posts in the past.

Earlier this morning, I couldn't even EDIT an original post, forget about delete it. Each attempt at an edit resulted in a NEW post of the edited text IN A NEW THREAD, while the old post/old thread remained up. Then all of a sudden, I could edit original posts, but deleting them remained impossible.
