So which group is going to react first? Peta? Entomologists? Birkenstalkers?
3.) Swamp Fox - 07/13/2015
I wonder if that would work on moths? I hate a moth inside the house...
I think the effective range on flies is only three feet or something like that...I read something on this thing a few months ago... I bet a lot of times the flies beat a hasty retreat when they hear the awesome noise of the pump action... LOL 4.) Deerminator - 07/13/2015
I use a pump pellet pistol gun with out the pellet. The air blast blows them apart.:tu:

Cool idea. You're not doing that with a springer-style air rifle though right? 6.) bluecat - 07/13/2015

Why is it some flies are easy with a swatter, and others have much better reflexes? Something to think about...
Moths seem to react to the wind created by the swatter or the magazine coming at them...At least that's my theory...We have some masters of the dodge here...Very hard to bat them out of the air...I might try the pellet pistol idea... 8.) bluecat - 07/13/2015
My point was I was told that you can ruin a springer-style pellet gun by firing it without a pellet. It if is strictly compressed air, there would be no problem. Keep us informed Swampy.
Do you think you would set up some fly decoys and a little blind? 9.) bluecat - 07/13/2015

The other night I saw one out by the wood pile. I eased the 2nd floor bedroom open for a clear shot and it heard the sound and took off. I know they learn that somewhere but dead rabbits don't tell tales. How do they know? Discuss. 10.) Swamp Fox - 07/13/2015
When I open my back door, all sorts of Friskies-stealing wildlife scatters. Even the dumb possums have learned by now...Don't stick around or the pellets will be flying, LOL.

When you see the pellets flying something will be dieing.
