Of Teaching Archery to Cub Scouts at Fire Mountain Cub Scout Day Camp.
The Very First Time that this boy had ever shot a bow and his Very First Arrow! :) I told him to stare down the target, looking right at the red dot. Then draw his bow without taking his eyes off the dot. Pace the point of the arrow right on the red dot and let fly! :) He did Exactly what I told him to do and when he let the arrow fly, it went Exactly where he was looking! :) His next to shots were not as good because he was still so excited about the fist shot! ;) :) :D Look at that Huge Smile! That makes it all worth it for me! :) Dick 2.) Wild Bob - 06/23/2015
Sweet! What a great thing to do. :tu:
I haven't done it in a couple of years now, but each year our local chapter of DU and NWTF would team up with Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks and offer a one evening event we named "Young Jakes and Youth Evening." It is held at our local Trap Club, and there are 12 different stations where kids can go and spend 15 minutes doing a different outdoor activity. At the event for several years, me and another guy I work with manned the 'Archery Station.' We had a eight different 3d targets set up and we'd help kids have a chance to shoot some Genesis Bows at the targets. I know what you are saying Dick - it was a blast and the kids had so much fun doing it that I really enjoyed helping them experience fun archery! 3.) Hunter - 06/23/2015
