Swamp Fox - 05/27/2015 You're thinking of Billy Dee Williams... I hope he's okay, too. :wink 4.) Swamp Fox - 05/27/2015 We have or had some people in Oklahoma, too... Some spots in Nebraska and Arkansas got hit pretty hard as well if I heard the news right. 5.) Deerminator - 05/27/2015 So how are those guys do'n ?????? any word I got a boat. 6.) Swamp Fox - 05/27/2015 I think Dino is/was in OK City, which I think got either water or tornadoes or both. I haven't heard from him in ages, though. One ore two other guys in Okla. Crookedeye's in Omaha which was okay I think, except maybe for the millipedes in his basement, and he knows how to crawl up on a roof anyway, so we don't need to worry about him...:wink 7.) billy b - 05/27/2015 I'm keeping my boat handy, we have had rain for the last 16 days in a row, day before yesterday I got over 3 inches, last night 1&1/2", we have almost doubled our yearly average in less than 6 months & more is forecast for the next 7 days. I have never seen anything like this in my life. 8.) Swamp Fox - 05/27/2015 Check all your fuses! You don't want to be drifting down Main Street with no trolling motor or fishfinder! 9.) Alex - 05/27/2015
I'm keeping my boat handy, we have had rain for the last 16 days in a row, day before yesterday I got over 3 inches, last night 1&1/2", we have almost doubled our yearly average in less than 6 months & more is forecast for the next 7 days. I know you guys are pretty high up there so not really a flash flood worry... but do please plan for extended periods without any power and infrastructure. It still amazes me to see people forget the basics needed for 3-7 days existence in our wooden hollows without power, running water, heating/cooling, medications, etc. Glad to hear you're fairing ok though. 10.) Deerminator - 05/27/2015 ditto what Alex said Take care:pray: 11.) billy b - 05/27/2015
Check all your fuses! I'm having my backyard/swamp stocked with 'gators and mud bugs, then going into the Cajun restaurant supply business. 15.) billy b - 05/28/2015 Get it up & going, I'll be your first customer:wink 16.) Jon - 05/28/2015 Hey Billy and DP  Glad you guys aren't swimming yet. My sister just moved to Houston, good timing! We're TX. :rage:You tell em D, after you tell em hang around.:wink 28.) Hunter - 05/28/2015 Finally putting our water wings away here. But maybe not for long, another flash flood watch for tonight! Actually, we are good. Plenty high enough but rain has certainly made a mess of the ranch. Roads are nasty or impassable and fences have been blown out. Got the last one back up yesterday, hope we don't have to go back. We have a dry river bed that cuts across the back third of the ranch. Here's a view of it after the recent rains... Here's another showing our east fence washout.... 29.) billy b - 05/29/2015 Here's a pic of the spillway at the lake I live on, it's been running all 24 gates for almost 2 weeks it will flood everyone below the dam if they open the gates any further, the two smaller lakes that feed this one are both holding water 15 feet over flood stage till we get some of the water out of this one. This has never happened before. Two months ago this lake was almost 12 feet low, it is 35 miles long. Richland Chambers Reservoir. Where I hunted, has been under about 6-8 feet of water for two weeks now, but the game warden assure me that they will return when the water goes down. 37.) Today the entire park and about 1/2 square mile of the surrounding low-lying area right next to a housing development was under about 6'-7' feet of water. It was surreal. 38.) Sharpton sought “meat” for his radio program by soliciting his Twitter following for commentary on the recent Texas floods – a weather event that has tragically taken innocent lives and destroyed countless homes and property. In a pathetic attempt at being taken seriously, Sharpton actually asked his audience if they thought the flooding was related to “climate control or God’s rebuke?” http://www.bizpacreview.com/2015/05/28/al-sharptons-tweet-on-texas-floods-gets-buried-by-critics-he-said-what-208194 40.)
