Baseball in October is sooooo annoying.

October is for hunting, Halloween and football.

Also, it's a pretty good time to find a new girlfriend because she can see what's she up against with your hunting, and you don't have a lot of pressure in the relationship yet so you can actually [I]go[/I] hunting without getting guilt-tripped.

If things get sticky around Thanksgiving, you can get off the hook before Christmas and move on to a girl who's starting to think about not having a date for New Year's Eve, and then there's plenty of time for one or the other of you to dump or be dumped by Valentine's without a huge amount of heartbreak.

Then you can put yourself out there again once you've dodged that bullet, and there's still a little time before the fishing picks up and turkey season rolls in.

You see, for every thing there is a season.

But October for baseball just ain't it.
