1.) Ventilator - 09/05/2014
Well after a hard week of chasing muleys all over the mountain in Colorado, I finally connected on a beautiful stud of a buck!! I saw 10-12 bucks per day with multiple encounters of the same ones. The last evening of the hunt, I finally picked the right trail to cut off this buck on his way down the draw to feed in the alfalfa below. I had watched him that morning from a high vantage point go into the draw to bed. It was the 4th time I had watched him. Every evening he had picked a different way to come down along with a different route each morning. On my 5th encounter with him, I finally got it right. 27 yards and only a 20 yard death run recovery. He made it to a barbed wire fence and crashed. He was easy to recognize as he was the only one out of velvet the entire hunt. He is a 5x5 and gross scored 177 2/8" P&Y. My biggest bow killed muley to date. Also, entry number one for Team Dick Butt!!!
