1.) Ar-mink - 05/05/2014
Here is my first range report for my new build. To recap it is a RRA lower with 2-stage trigger, and the upper is JSE with a SS 18" wilson barrel and UTG hand guard. I topped with a Leuapold vx-1 4x12 with bdc. I attached it with Nikon flat top scope rings.

After I was happy at 50 yards i went to a friends range and put a few down range at 100yds. The wind was blowing pretty good yesterday and we where shooting prone out of the back of my truck. But all in all I was pretty happy with the results. I still need to move the scope forward a little bit then I will really try and get it dialed in. Here are my results, I shot groups 1 and 3 and my buddy shot 2 and the unnumbered group. This is what I done. Cleaned after 1st and 2nd shot, cleaned again after shots 5 and 9, then again after shot 21 and put up for next time. The gun functioned flawlessly, fed and fired every time. I am really pleased with what I put together. Thank you guys for all the help and advice you gave me on this. Total price I have in it is right around $850 not counting the scope which I already had. 2.) Deerminator - 05/05/2014

$0.60/rd for FMJ? Ouch. Good ol' Gander Mountain. Wilson makes a good barrel. I'll be interested to see what results you get over time and with different ammo. Edit: Prvi Partizan 55 gr FMJ for $8.39/20, including shipping. In stock even: http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/12525 The same American Eagle rounds (not in stock at the moment though) for $9.49/20, also includes shipping: http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/3862 For less than what you paid for the AE rounds at GM, Prvi 69 gr Match HPBTs ($11.59/20, including shipping): http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/12523 e-commerce rocks. 6.) As soon as I get this whole buying a new house thing out of the way I plan on buying 500-1000 rounds. Any recommendations on a good round for hogs? I know you said it was a good hog round. 9.) Thanks hunter and ventilator
Nice:tu:
I'm not allowed to have an AR. NYS and all:rage:
I remember reading an article a while back about a company that was putting AR style actions on traditional rifle stocks without pistol grips. Supposedly they would be legal in all 50 states. I think it was in the field and stream (not 100% sure) and the were unveiling it at the NRA conference. I couldn't find it but maybe someone else could look it up 11.) DParker - 05/08/2014

That's a badass AR.
13.) Ar-mink - 07/23/2016
Hey guys, how's everyone been?
I know this thread has been dead for two years, but I figured I would give an update. Absolutely love the AR, it's a little heavy to be lugging around but I make due. It's turned out to be an absolute great hog gun. Shooting hornady 55gr. Sp rounds and very pleased with them. Here's a few pictures of the fun. My first hog with it, that's the super moon in the back ground.. My nephews hog The nephew and myself, he killed the bigger one that day. I killed the medium one and ran over the small one leaving. I've also killed my share of coyotes with it. No deer yet but that's on the agenda for this fall. 14.) Swamp Fox - 07/24/2016
Nice to see you back!
Nice pigs! I know another Mink who likes the speckled ones...LOL 15.) DParker - 07/24/2016
I dig the camo job. And it sure seems to be effective at turning pests into pork.
16.) Ar-mink - 07/24/2016
Thanks guys. The place I hunt was over run with pigs last year, I killed 9 total and my nephew killed 2 and a buddy killed 2. I even let the Matthews get in on the fun.
Shot at 44 and 60 yards 17.) Jon - 07/25/2016
Well done! Love to see your AR in action.
18.) bluecat - 07/25/2016
