1.) Ventilator - 04/24/2014
Well, got my new Vital in last week, as the title says. I have my Saskatchewan bear hunt coming up in a few weeks. Wanted to shoot the bow a good bit before I wrote up a quick review. I have the Tungsten Cerakote riser version. Finish looks awesome, easily the best looking hunting bow I have. My RT black SHO is a close 2nd, even tho im not a RT fan, being on the Mossy Oak team the last 5 years. lol.
I set it up as follows: Dead Center- Dead Level hunter Stab Sword Maximus 5 pin sight NAP Apache rest Redeye peep Easton Injexion-Deep Six- Arrows with Ramcat 100s Speed 292 FPS w/ 28.5" draw 70lbs 422gr arrow. I was pretty impressed with the speed and KE on the bow. The draw is a little stiff, but smooth back into a solid back wall. This is typical of SA line of hunting bows. The valley is very deep on the Vital. Reminds a lot of another brand of bows I have tried in the past. This will be an asset to hunters in my opinion. Long hold times while waiting for a shot will be much easier , even at the 70lb weight. With target shooting, I prefer much less valley. When hunting, this is very nice, and definitely something new with SA this year. Draw length was spot on, according to my measurements. Tuning was easy as pie. Took two shots to get a bullet hole after eyeballing the rest. I did have to make an adjustment or two with broadheads to get the blades on the Ramcats to clear the riser. I don't think this will be much of an issue with most heads. The arrows still flew perfect out to 50yds with no issues. A very nice bow , in my opinion, and im looking forward to shooting a fat bear with it in 3 weeks!! Good job guys! How do you compare it to the SHO? Especially how they hold and handle?
Message received regarding the draw of the Vital. Though my recollection of the SHO draw is fuzzy, I wouldn't call it stiff, exactly. The Vital is a little more memorable? I like the Vital's finish and the riser design big-time! :tu: Glad to see the old Rush XT is still in the line-up, LOL. That's a hell of a bow. 3.) Deerminator - 04/24/2014

Swampy, my guess is , on this bow at 70lbs you prob wouldn't like it. It starts like my old SR-71 but has a good steady draw into the valley and wall.60lbs is likely much better. The SHO is much easier to start at 70lbs and feels about the same to the wall. The valley on the SHO is much smaller, no creeping allowed on it. Or very little anyway. The Vital feels like you could hold it for a month, once you get to full draw. Very much like the valley of an Elite.

On the shot, the bow feels good. No vibration or jump to speak of. with or without a stab. It just sits there, pretty much like the SHO , Wrath and SX-1 from the last few years. The finish and the look are top notch! Im working on somewhere to Cerakote my stabilizers to match.
