One of my buddies gave me an old vertical water smoker, propane powered a couple weeks ago. Ive been smoking some chuck roasts, some loins, and a few other assorted chunks of deer. I love it! Finally something to make me feel manly for a couple hours
Anyone have any good recipes or ideas? 2.) crookedeye - 04/19/2014
I bought a masterbuilt from cabelas, for like 140 bucks..the thing retail for like 280...havnt used it yet, but it's getting that time of year..

8.) Swamp Fox - 04/20/2014

[QUOTE=crookedeye;18960]i'm going to have to start poking billy for some recipes...

Okay, I looked it up...It IS a huge bong...You rascal, you...
What's the difference between a water smoker and a regular smoker with a pan of liquid stuck in it? Is that a set-up for a joke? Or is it an honest question? :wink You decide.... 13.) bluecat - 04/21/2014
I'm trying to cut down a bit...

It's a sad day in the neighborhood when a HuntingCountry thread about smoking doesn't take off like a scalded dog...

Oh, what sad times are these when passing bowhunters can resist an opportunity to discuss meat smoking. There is a pestilence upon this land, nothing is sacred. Even those who manufacture and sell smokers are under considerable economic stress in this period in history. 16.) Swamp Fox - 04/21/2014
Bravo, Sir!
Bravo! 17.) Wild Bob - 04/21/2014

Excuse me for not being here, I was helping a neighbor start a fire in his old fashion smoker, what a drag.

Do you think they'll ever try a propane or even a wood-fired unit?
22.) billy b - 04/22/2014
Uh NO, he's waaaay too dumb to use propane or lectrics.
23.) Swamp Fox - 04/22/2014
I'd be all over a Smokin Tex ...uh, yeah, prolly... if I didn't have to use lectricity...
