3.) Ohbuckhunter - 03/06/2013
Hello sir. How ya been. Do u still need spam n beer
4.) Bob Peck - 03/06/2013
All is good with me and our family. 15" in VA and we're experiencing Snowmageddon but I ain't skeered. This time we've got a 5 month supply of MRE's, a new Armalite AR, a new Taurus Raging Bull .44 mag, a healthy but elevated sense of paranoia (thanks, Walking Dead) and an underground bunker with so much ammo we don't buy fireworks anymore.
You know you're in trouble when you see this on the interstate. How does a snow plow, plow into the ditch? and then of course you have to have some trees showing up in the fog of a white-out Super cross on the interstate Woo Hoo! and of course it wouldn't be much fun or a challenge if idiots going too fast for their own good wiped out for no good reason I have to have that yellow suit that guy's wearing. Get some beers, a slip-n-slide ... some fun right there fellas. Fun times, fun times. P.S I'm only here because Alex is paying me a hefty fee. 5.) billy b - 03/06/2013
How are Bob Peck, good to hear from you:grin:
6.) Ohbuckhunter - 03/06/2013
How are Bob Peck, good to hear from you:grin:
Hey there Billy! Hope you're holding down the fort. When the end times come we're counting on you.
Frankly, I didn't know what to do with my life when BC went away. I wandered in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights. I pleaded with my friend to reverse himself. Bring it back. He said no. And now? Seems we all wore him down. 8.) BULLZ-i - 03/06/2013
WOULDN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT A CHAINSAW AND SOME OF THEM OTHER SUPPLIES. HOWS IT GOING BOB?
9.) DParker - 03/06/2013
WOULDN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT A CHAINSAW AND SOME OF THEM OTHER SUPPLIES. HOWS IT GOING BOB?
You are my armament and ordnance idol! Besides DParker, my AR idol, you're a real close second fav-o-rite.
Funny you should mention chainsaw. After a several years I finally broke down and brought my 'ol faithful Stihl Farm Boss into my local Ace Hardware (like stepping back in time to the 50's) I lie to the guy at the counter: "Hey would you look at my buddy's chainsaw? He thinks he might need a new bar and wants to know if this hand sharpened chain should be trashed." Roger (my favorite knowledgeable chainsaw expert codger) carefully inspects the rig tilting it here and there. Big sighs at regular intervals. He looks over his reading glasses and says: "Tell your buddy he's a dumb a$$ and I don't know how he could have cut a sapling with this saw. This bar is in such bad shape I don't think I've ever seen something this bad. The chain? He's obviously cheap and he doesn't know how to hand sharpen." Um ... yeah. "I'll tell my buddy but he never listens. Tell you what, why don't you grab a new bar and chain. I'll make him pay me back when I see him." 12.) Old Crow - 03/06/2013
Great to see ya Bob damn near hit you up on linked in after the crash ..... Always appreciate your great storys and forum input
13.) DParker - 03/06/2013
An Aggie moves up north and buys a plot of rural land on which to build himself a house. He visits the hardware store in the nearby town and says to the owner, "I want to clear the trees off an acre of land that I just bought. What do you recommend?" The owner shows him the newest and best chainsaw that he carries and tells his new customer it's just what he needs. They Aggie plops down some cash and walks out with his new power tool.
Two days later the Aggie returns to the hardware store looking exhausted and like he'd been run over by a convoy of 18-wheelers, and dragging the chainsaw behind him as though it weighed a ton. The store owner asks him, "My goodness! You look terrible! Are you OK?" The Aggie responds, "That chainsaw you sold me is no good. I spent the past two days trying to use it to cut down the trees on my land and only managed to bring down 3 of them." The owner apologizes and asks to see the chainsaw so he can check it out and see what the problem is. When the Aggie hands it over the shop owner gives the saw a good visual going-over, checking the sharpness of the chain and any other detail that he thinks might make its performance sub-standard. Finally he yanks on the starter cord and, when the saw's engine roars to life the Aggie takes a giant leap backward from the counter, stares in horror and screams, "Why the hell is it making that noise??!!!!!" 14.) Neither NOVA or SOVA but Central VA. Those pics from today were west of Charlottesville. I had just passed over Afton Mtn.
Ya tell stories about a guy, and wonder where he's at, and BOOM! He's here.
Correction Floyd. That's badda boom. Boom is for commoners. 19.) Floyd - 03/07/2013

Oh you'll get all the stories Mister. Fabricated and true, factoids, inside industry dirt, hard hitting investigative journalism I steal from others and claim as mine. You know. The same 'ol, same 'ol. Thanks for the kind words! 21.) Swamp Fox - 03/07/2013
Hey, Bob! Stay off the roads! You'll put your eye out!
Hey, Bob! Stay off the roads! You'll put your eye out!
Whatcha sayin? I should go off road? I did that once with my Dad's 1973 Pontiac LeMans Sports Coupe. He loved that car. Thought it was butt ugly then and still do. Went airborne off a curve, landed in a guy's bean patch. Finally wrestled control when I hit his corn as it slowed me down. Ker Thwack, Ker Thwack. Turned around and drove back out through the 'maters. I felt bad I had messed up the man's garden but I imagined my Dad's hands around my throat choking the life out of me. I jetted out of there. We had to power wash the seeds out of the radiator grill for weeks after. I still catch crap for that from my Dad 30 years after. 26.) PB - 03/07/2013
Bob Peck, Bob Peck... the name rings a bell... Have you been to any wild game dinners in the past few years?????
27.) Leighton - 03/07/2013
I still think he would make a good 'dead yankee'.
I almost was yesterday driving during Virginia's Snowmageddon but it was the Yankee snow experiences growing up that saved me. I'm thinking of starting up a driving school specifically for my Southern brethren dedicated to snow driving techniques but then ... I'd have to bus them up to Yankeeland to practice and that probably wouldn't work out. 31.) Bob Peck - 03/07/2013
Interesting
Oh no. I forgot about you. Literally.
HELLOOOOOOO Bob, glad you and your twin made it here. Miss you man!
Oh Jon. I have said many a treestand prayer for you brother. I've gotten periodic updates on you from our mutual friend. You know. The big bald headed tub-o-lard who couldn't hit a broadside of a barn with a shovel who is living in PA and living his dream as an outdoor industry mogul? And no, I don't mean Luv2 because I think he still has hair.
Somehow I don't see that working out so well for ya...
Glad to see ya back Bob!
Yeah. You're right. The winter driving school for Southerners practicing in the snow of Yankee-land is fraught with problems not the least of which is the language barrier. :-) 38.) Bob Peck - 03/11/2013
