hi y'all...

I heard that a jake decoy works better in the early season and in the late season a hen decoy works best..is there a reason for this?

I'm not sure there is a correct answer.My guess is that by late season subdominate males
are tired of getting their asses kicked.

If I'm hunting fields I use both hen and jake. If I'm hunting woods I use nothing but my calls.
