obh..one thing you did wrong was out of no where you posted the turkey contest...what you should of done was to post a pre-post turkey contest thread...you no let everyone soak it in..set a date when its going to happen..get everyones excitement up!

shot feathers again Saturday night, had two come in and skirted the decoys about 18 yards.. big ones..the one I shot at had at least two beards.. he was moving to fast and beginning to get to the tapered part of the blind..so I had to stretch and bend to get the shot off..that and I don't think to well with all the excitement...over the years I think I would have a bag of feathers.. fun evening hunt

This is more sign-ups than Oregon got for Obamacare, at least through February, and we didn't spend $160 million dollars.
Maybe if we extend the deadline, and change all the rules...Maybe crappie could count?

No you misheard. You can keep your hunting spots but only if you don't have any previous season where you didn't kill anything or did kill something but it lived for awhile before it finally died.

But back to the contest: So you're saying that I can keep my hunting spots, period? And even if I've previously killed a turkey, I can sign up for the contest as long as I've been scrolling around the site prior to the deadline?
What if I've killed a very serious and expensive turkey already and just want to hop into the contest at the last minute so I can get everyone else to give me a prize, even though they signed up BEFORE they got their turkeys? You know, a contest is a challenge of unknown outcomes. It's not a contest if you've already got the turkey and then you sign up afterwards just so you can get everyone else to pay for your turkey.
Just thinking out loud here...
